Our Bug Bite Relief contains:

Peppermint~ In addition to stopping stinging, burning, and itching, peppermint essential oil also acts as an antimicrobial agent that reduces the risk of the bite becoming infected.

What’s more, the smell of peppermint can deter other bugs from coming near you!

Lavender~ Famous for its soothing, analgesic effects, lavender essential oil is traditionally used to ease the pain of burns and bites.

Lemongrass~ Heal bug bites and reduce the risk of getting an insect-borne disease and thanks to its antimicrobial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, this can also relieve headaches, and repel insects.

Helichrysum~ Stops the itch and stinging through its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

Chamomile ~ Helps with redness, itching, and irritation. A study in 2011 compared chamomile to a 1 percent hydrocortisone cream for skin irritation. It helped lesions heal much faster, while reducing pain, inflammation and itching.

Ylang Ylang~ Anti-inflammatory properties, reduces inflammation, irritation, itch and helps to repel insects.

I prefer to use an amber bottle as it lengthens the “shelf life” of the ingredients, allowing better value for money.

Keep away from eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with water and seek medical advice.

Store in a cool place. If stored correctly, this product will keep for up to 12 months.

Essential oils are highly concentrated and can be potent. Keep out of reach of children, the elderly, and pets.

For external use only and avoid contact with mucus membranes and eyes. If any essential oils have contact with your eye, wash out with a vegetable oil such as olive oil, not water.

Some oils may cause skin irritation in people with sensitive skin and it is recommended to perform a patch test before use.

To patch test, place one drop on the back of your wrist and leave for an hour or so.

If irritation or redness occurs wash the area with olive oil then cold water and do not use.
